ChatGPT for Google Analytics reports: limits and an alternative

Exporting GA4 and asking ChatGPT to explain it gets you through one report. With several clients every month, the problems show up.

What you have to do every time

  1. Export the month’s GA4 data, and the previous month’s to compare.
  2. Paste it in and write the instructions.
  3. Check that no figure has been made up.
  4. Format it, add the agency’s branding and turn it into a PDF.

What it does not know

  • What you recommended last month, so it repeats advice.
  • What the client’s website is like, so it may recommend something they already have.
  • Which searches bring visits, unless you paste Search Console too.
  • The previous twelve months, so it cannot tell a real drop from the dip every August.

What MyReportify does differently

It reads GA4 directly (including the twelve-month series), reads the client’s website and Search Console, remembers the recommendations of the last two reports, checks the text is complete before building the PDF and lays it out with your brand. You only review it.

What each report contains

A PDF with six sections, written in English or Spanish (you choose when generating it), carrying your agency’s logo, colour and name:

  1. Executive summary
  2. Traffic and engagement analysis
  3. User behavior
  4. Traffic sources and geographic reach
  5. Content and conversions
  6. Strategic recommendations

The figures come from Google Analytics 4 and, if you connect it, Search Console. The text compares the month with the previous one and with the same month last year, and each of the three recommendations ends with the figure that will show next month whether it worked.

It can also read the client’s store (Shopify or WooCommerce), their email marketing (Mailchimp, Brevo or Klaviyo) and their CRM (HubSpot): each is connected once per client, and its figures appear in the report as that platform’s figures, never added to Analytics.

Data that is in none of those sources (calls, quotes, visits to a physical shop) can be added from a Google Sheet or a CSV, and the report takes it into account. Each client can also have their own branded live dashboard, shared by link or embedded in your website.

Questions

Does it also use an AI model?

Yes, Claude by Anthropic, with fixed instructions to read GA4 properly and never invent figures or causes.

Can it make figures up?

It only receives the figures read from GA4, Search Console and the website, it is told never to invent data or causes, and the text is checked before the PDF is built (six sections, three numbered recommendations).

Can I correct what it writes?

Yes: you edit any paragraph before sending and the PDF is rebuilt in seconds without using up a report.
